Norms:

Height from last landing to machine room bottom slab should not be less than 14' 0" ft i.e. 4278 mm.
Machine room & overhead water tank should not have a common wall.
PIT depth should not be less than 1424 mm* not to exceed than 1500 mm.
Always while designing a elevator remember to have width more than depth.
Building Height more than 24 mts requires Chief Fire Officers NOC.
